We are incredibly proud of our students’ ingenuity. Our students write the plays that we perform thrice a year in addition to writing storybooks, song, poems and plays. We’ve have published a few of their books. Both young and old enjoy reading the books published by our young authors. More are in the works.
ABC BOOK – Author Autumn Jade Russo (4 year old)
This book was written by one of our 4 year old students as part of a class project when she was learning letter sounds and three letter words. She also learnt computer literacy and writing skills since she wrote and downloaded & uploaded appropriate images for her book. She sounded out the words and spelt them.
Infants through preschoolers are attracted to the bold and bright colors of the words and images.
Another Rockstar Diary – Author Kaydence Wym (8 year old)
This was her second time authoring a book. It took her roughly two and a half months to complete the project. In addition to working on her wr, the need to select appropriate images that relate to the story get a deeper appreciation of story writing. Her final work was sent to an illustrator to create this book.
Another Rockstar Diary is targeted for 6-8 year olds. The story reveals some of the stressors in a young girl’s life.
Diary of a Cowgirl – Author Katie Starbird (10 year old)
A descriptive slice of farm life told by a 10 year old. This child’s contentment is evident in all areas of her life. The depiction of farm and family life and satisfaction with simple things is refreshing. Missy’s acceptance of responsibility without complaining is a blessing to read – A review by Rose McGee, a parent and grandmother.
A Winter Wonderland – Author Chase Wym (8 year old)
A Winter Wonderland is a picture book that appeals to infants through third grade. Winter was born with a love for the snow. After moving to Florida, she misses the snow so much that on Christmas Eve, she dreams that it snows in Florida. A Cowgirl Diary appeals to kindergarten through 2nd grade. In the storybook, living on a farm is a lot of fun but it’s also a lot of work. Missy is in charge while Ma and Pa are away.
